Is this normal?

So I’m 17+3 and I was listening to my baby girls heartbeat. It started out sounding like normal but then it audibly slowed down for about 2-3 seconds before going back to its normal rate (around 140-148). Is this normal? Could it be because I was laying on my back?

i have been getting NST’s every day for a week and noticed that as well. the nurse told me it’s called a variable and yes it is normal

How is everything going so far with you? I’ve been searching around for motivation for myself and baby. I’m 30w 3 days and my water broke 2 days ago I’m currently at the hospital on strict bed rest until 34w or until my baby girl decides to come.

My understanding is that it’s normal. Heartbeat doesn’t regulate/normalize until closer to delivery.

Maybe could have also adjusted movement then moved back. I wouldn’t worry about it. My girl hates the Doppler and moves away from it every time.

My dr told me at my last appointment a few days ago that heartstrings variability is a good thing.
