am I pregnant? help please!

Question

So I started taking 28 pill birth control 2 years ago. I stoped taking it for the last 3 months but then started again 7 days ago but only took 3 pills and stopped because I was supposed to start my period. My period is now 3 days late and I’m freaking out. Is it because I took 3 pills that my period is messed up? I’ve stopped taking my pills hoping to start my period but i’m really freaking out so someone please help.

I think it’s just late because you kinda threw a curveball of hormones into your system. 
You were on birth control and then stopped three months ago. During that time, your body may (or may not, I don’t know) re-regulates itself to a normal cycle. Since you reintroduced the birth control again, your body is saying, “Woah, what’s going on?” You’ve only taken three pills and then stopped for your period. I’m sure your body is out of wack because of it. 
Why did you only take three and then stop? Do your pills have the break where you get your period?
