How did you celebrate your sons 2nd birthday?

He’s dad wants us to have a birth day cake like a money joes or chucky cheese. But my family always have birthday party’s. I got awhile away. 5 months and 11 days. But I like to think ahead.

My two are Irish twins so my son's 2nd birthday was the day after my daughter's first birthday. I did a small, family only birthday party for them with a cake I made. It wasn't anything fancy. They're too young to really understand or remember. My husband was traveling that week for work and was only home one night. We don't live near family so only my mom was able to come for the kids' birthday. So it just made sense to us to do something small. We have talked about trying to do something a bit more next year for 2&3. I feel like 1&2 is more for the parents than for the kids.
I say do whatever makes you happy.

Honestly we didn’t have a ton of money, we were recently moved to a new state so didn’t know anyone with kids... so we just stayed home, he got a few new toys and we had cake. It was fun, he had no idea what was going on still so 🤷🏻‍♀️

I picked simple because we moved away from a lot of family. We were going to have a pool party but my son got sick. He’s getting better but I think it will be too much, and idk if he’s still contagious. Anyway, simple it is! We spent the money we would have on party supplies to get him more toys. He will be happy!

We did a family only party at my parents lake house. My son turned 2 two days before Easter so we had his bday party Easter weekend since the whole family was together anyway. Saturday birthday celebration and Sunday Easter celebration. And we actually reused all the decorations from his one year bday party. He still loves Mickey Mouse and didn’t know so 🤷🏻‍♀️.

Depends on how much you want to spend. Paying for guests experiences can rack up, but if money isn’t an issue go to Chuck E Cheese or Dave & Busters. 
If you want to save some money & it be much more relaxed, stay home!

We did it at chuck e cheese! Our son had a blast! The only thing he didn't care for was the ticket blaster so his cousin did it for him.

We are busy planning our wedding so we aren’t doing anything as crazy like his first birthday so we are just going to this pool place where you can swim and also has a petting zoo with just his nan and pop and then having cake with his uncles as well at dinner time

My son turns 2 at the end of October. We are planning to have a “fish theme” and bring him to an indoor water park since he loves the water so much.
