Failed IUD insertion
On Tuesday I went to get my IUD inserted. They couldn’t do it because my cervix was too tight and I had to reschedule. They told me that they tried to stretch my cervix open and they did get it open enough but the IUD was bending. They gave me medicine to take 3 hours beforehand to help loosen my cervix and I needed to schedule an ultrasound to help with the placement. Honestly it was a very uncomfortable experience. 2 days later (Thursday) I started to feel a light pain in my vagina but didn’t think much of it. Friday the pain was really bad and I couldn’t figure out what it was from a google search. Saturday it felt better but still a little painful until the end of the day when it was an unbearable pain. It honestly feels like when you have a bruise and someone is pushing against it constantly. I feel like my vagina might be a little swollen on the inside but I could also be imagining things because of the pain. Did anyone else have this issue with the IUD either being inserted or with the failure? I’m not sure how long it will take for this pain to go away. Sometimes I can’t even sit right. Is this something I should be worried about? Also I am now debating if I should cancel my appointment and just get the implant again. I had minor issues with the implant and that’s why I wanted to switch, but I don’t know what’s going on with me right now and that’s scary.
