Secretly scared

Today I went for a routine annual exam. Breast cancer is common in my family so we talked about genetic counseling in the near future. Everything was going fine until the doctor found a lump. Before leaving they said they would call with a appointment for imaging... Not even an hour later I received a call by the cancer center with my appointment. While it is possible nothing is wrong... The chain of events and the c word have me a bit scared. I can't tell this to anyone but my husband as I am the strong one in our family and need to hold it all together for them and the kids.
