Is it normal?

So is it normal that i always feel uncomfortable and shy when it comes to having with my boyfriend? Ive always been this way so its not just with him. I mean i love him and absolutely adore him but when it comes to being intimate i get all shy and nervous. I dont know if its because im insecure or because im just shy or maybe its both. My boyfriend doesn't say anything about it bothering him because ive always been this way and as weird as it sounds i told him i was like this before i was even with him. I mean is it normal or not tho?
