Babys here!

We got to meet our sweet baby boy today!

38 weeks 4 days.

Went in to my normal weekly OB check at 1030am. She checked my cervix and I was at 6cm. Which is considered labor, even though I wasn't having contractions. So up to L&D I went.

Started to have contractions around 1130. Only able to tell bc the monitor on my tummy said so lol. I still felt nothing.

Dr came in and broke my water at 12pm.

Contractions got stronger and more annoying so around 230-3pm I got the epidural.

Epidural was wayy different this time, last time I couldn't feel or more anything from my waist down. This time things were just kind of numb, I could still move my legs, and I could still feel the pressure of contractions but not the pain. Cervix check at 3 put me at 7cm.

Around 430pm my nurse checks me and asks if I was ready to have a baby.

3 pushes later at 440pm I had my sweet boy in my arms!

8lbs 5oz, 21.75 inches.

No tearing. And I'm not even sore thank god.

After the placenta was delivered we discovered that there was an actual knot in babys umbilical cord!! Scary to think of how wrong things could've gone. we had no idea it was there.
