Birth Stories...how many have we all heard?

Here’s mine! 🙃

So at 32 weeks on an early Thursday morning around 5 am I was woken by a very strong pain on my lower right belly. The pain literally felt like a strong sting and lasted about a minute. I got out of bed and felt liquid coming out and I went to the restroom and it was clear with some little blood. I called my doctors office and they said if it continued or got worse to call again the next day. So here I am leaking fluid ,that I had no idea was Amnio Fluid, throughout the day in small amounts. Then Friday morning as I get out of bed I felt a gush of more fluid so I call again to my doctors office and they have me go in. Now let me just say my whole pregnancy I had braxton hicks and my obgyn never really took me serious because he would say I’m young (24 at the time) and am super healthy. So Im sitting in the little room with my hubby and doctor walks in an says, “I can’t get you out of my office now could i” in a joking way of course. He then said, it’s probably nothing to worry about and you can go back home and rest. Here I am thinking this doctor thinks I’m over reacting? So he tells me to dress down so he can check me down there, as soon as he looks in there he says, ohh ok there’s a puddle of amnio fluid in there we’re going to test it to make sure it’s amnio fluid.” A few minutes later he comes back and says it’s confirmed and I’ll have to be flown to a hospital that is about 2 hours away. My little town hospital doesn’t have the correct equipment for premature babies. So they fly me to that hospital where they put me in meds to control the contractions, their plan was to try and keep baby in me for at least 2 more weeks. They also gave me steroids to mature his lungs. So I’m in the hospital Friday, Saturday....Sunday at 2 am I’m asleep when I’m awoken by a huge gush of fluid. My water has now completely broken! The contractions start coming faster and stronger. Soo here’s the crazy part. By boy was breech the whole pregnancy so they schedule me to get a c section at 12pm. So here we are waiting for the time. Now it’s about 6:45am when the nurse comes to check on me and asks how strong do I feel the pain on a scale from 1-10. I said 6. Then 15-20 minutes later out of no where I start to have really really strong contractions and pressure so I call the nurse in and she says she’ll get the doctor. Now I’m starting to panic because the pain was so intense

and with my first baby (7 years back) I had the epidural so I didn’t feel this much pain before. And my hubby is here next to me holding my hand and you can see he is starting to feel panic also. So finally the doctor comes in and I’m screaming with pain saying “He’s coming out!” The doctor removes the sheets and she saw my baby’s little feet out which I felt. Now they unplugged the bed and IV and rushed me to the surgery room which I didn’t even end up having surgery because it was too late for that or any meds. So they placed me on the surgery table and the room just got full of doctors and nurses all around and here was a nurse holding me telling me to push while the doctor was literally helping my baby to come out as well. My guess is she was making sure his arms wouldn’t get stuck. Holy poop it was soooo painful I actually blacked out for a few seconds. My baby boy was finally born at 7:31am they took him and let me see him for a second and rushed him behind me where they had

all the equipment for him. Now this part I didn’t get to see since he was behind me but my hubby got to see it all and told me along with the nurse after it all happened, my baby went through some trauma during birth that his little heart stopped so they did CPR on him and my hubby saw it all. I remember Seeing my hubby turn pale white but obviously at the moment I didn’t know exactly why I just figured it was due to everything we had just gone through. But Thank God my baby’s heart came right back up and he was in the NICU for 6 weeks.

He is now 2 1/2 years old healthy and strong, very energetic and perfect! ♥️

My hubby and I said No more babies after that day BUT we now have an almost 1 year old baby girl Lol and we have our 10 year old daughter who is the best big sister ever! 💕

Btw my girls birth stories are Not crazy what so ever like my sons. We joke around saying he was born walking since he came out feet first. We have a great story to tell him when he grows up 🤷🏻‍♀️😁
