Do you give your kids baths in a thunderstorm?

I’ve always been told not to even wash your hands if it’s especially lightning because it travels through water and metal, which your pipes are made of. My mil told me that it’s gross and I should still give my son a bath. I usually give him baths everyday. But I’m not going to if it’s dangerous.

Grew up in Florida and was always told to avoid water inside the house when it’s lightning. We have a lot of storms though so it’s always a topic of conversation.

My friend’s uncle got struck by lighting when showering. So I stay away from baths and showers when there is a storm

Haha I’ve never heard this. I’ve always showered during storms, can’t count how many times I’ve been stranded in the shower when a storm knocks the power out.

I don’t shower or bathe during thunderstorms but I do wash my hands. One day without bathing your kid (or just giving them a sponge bath) should be fine if it’s storming.
