For weeks, maybe months, nothing I have eaten has felt satisfying. Something always feels ‘off’. Before getting pregnant, I was lacto-vegetarian (dairy but no eggs). Then I incorporated eggs when I felt the need. After a few weeks, that wasn’t enough. So then I guiltily progressed to white fish once or twice a week. Now another fortnight has passed...

...and I still can’t make myself feel satisfied! It feels like my body is missing something. I’ve done everything I can to increase iron in my diet, and protein, I supplement every day.

DH (who is also vegetarian) suggest I should perhaps try some chicken soup. I could cry, honestly, because I haven’t had meat in 7 years. It’s an emotional thing to do. Should I try it?? Any other vegetarians struggling in their pregnancy??
