MIL is always quick to give my baby Tylenol and teething gel or home remedies for any little fussiness. Just now I was talking to my husband and our 11 month old was being a bit fussy. I told my husband he needed a nap but he was quick to instruct me to give him some teething gel because his mom had said she used it on baby because she thinks he needs it for his teeth. I don’t like the idea of going medicine happy and giving my baby too much medicine at every cry or burst of fussiness. DH did not grow up around babies so he takes his mothers word for anything. I have two younger sisters I helped raise and lots of baby cousins, I am by no means an expert but I do know there is not a remedy that can ail a growing baby and their occasional tantrums. FYI baby is fast asleep just minutes after fighting his nap, no teething gel needed to calm him down...he’s just being a baby, they fight sleep sometimes!
