Anyone else’s partners act like this?

My boyfriend works nights (5pm - 1am) so I’m usually in bed when he gets home, so we don’t really get the chance to have sex a lot. Last Friday he called me on his way home and told me he had a surprise for me, so I waited up (he brought me a milkshake because I’d mentioned craving one earlier in the day). We ended up having sex late Friday night and by Saturday morning, I was having pretty bad cramps that led to spotting and I lost pieces of my plug throughout the day. We ended up in labor and delivery to get checked, and basically everything was fine. I wasn’t contracting or dilating, and the doctor basically said that sex can cause spotting and losing some of my plug. We got discharged and everything was fine.

Well now, he won’t have sex with me at all. We started to once a couple of days ago, but he kept asking if I was okay and saying ‘something doesn’t feel right’ every 10 seconds so we just stopped. He says he’s just afraid he’s going to hurt the baby, but it’s hard not to take it personally, especially with these pregnancy hormones. I just feel huge and repulsive now. Is this common for men? Will he eventually get over it? It’s only been a week and it’s already taking a toll on my self esteem

I know I probably sound ridiculous, but these hormones are crazy 😭
