Explain to me what I did wrong?

So today I wanted to go look at a car, me being 23 I don’t know anything about cars I wanted my boyfriend to go with me to look at the car. Fast forward he doesn’t come with me, so I rescheduled my appointment I’ll decided to take my father with me. So I’m driving in my “father’s car” he tells me our daughter needs diapers I told him I will get them and drop them off. It’s an issue he doesn’t know that I’m driving my dad’s car he thinks it’s mine. I can’t take my dad’s car to get him and drive to PA when I know I don’t like driving on highways (I am a new driver) him and my dad do not get along. Am I wrong for not picking him up? It’s almost like he got jealous.
