Pap smear, abnormal cells

1 year ago I went to the OBGYN for a routine pap smear. My first since I had turned 18. I was long overdue due to some insurance switches.. I was told I have abnormal cells... that it's normal at my age.. that it should recover itself but to get YEARLY check ups instead of every other year... tomorrow is my first appointment since the abnormal cell diagnosis.. I know it's silly because I was told it was normal... but I'm so scared.. I have some pretty bad luck when it comes to wellness... I dont want this to turn into cancer... I dont want it to already be cancer... i dont know what to do.. I'm only 23...
