Fibroids?

Question

I'm 12 weeks and we just had our ultrasound down today. My midwife called me this afternoon to say they found two fibroids on the outside of my uterus measuring 1.5 cm and 3 cm. She said it's very common and best case having it on the outside.
Has anyone else gotten fibroids? Are they as painful as I read about? Has anyone managed to have a baby vaginally with fibroids?

I was told I have fibroid outside my uterus last year and since I wanted to get pregnant my obgyn said I needed to get pregnant soon before it got bigger. I didn’t want to have a surgery just for one 3cm sized fibroid. 
I got pregnant in January after 3-4 months of trying. At my 13 week ultrasound scan I was told I had another one same size. I’m sure they have grown a bit hopefully it stays put for the rest of my pregnancy.
