Midwife or OBGYN? What are you thinking?

My family doctor asked me if I wanted a midwife or obstetrician, I honestly am not sure... what is everyone else thinking ?

We had a midwife/home birth for our first and are planning the same one for our second! We really enjoyed the prenatal/birth/and postpartum support from her!!

Does anyone know the difference? Will insurance pay for a midwife?

My new OB is a DO (Doctor of osteopathic medicine (DOs) practice a whole-person approach, which means they consider both the physical and mental needs of their patient)
I have only seen her twice 1 time when I had my MC and then for my yearly physical but I really like her.

I did an OB last time, and MUCH was left to be desired. I might do a midwife this time.

My first 2 I had an OBGYN & my 3rd I went with a midwife & doula. I still did a hospital birth but it was SO MUCH BETTER of an experience. I will go the midwife route again.
