Quick birth story and my day 3 meltdown advice 👍🏻

Lila Louise James 7.5pounds of perfection ❤️ Lila made a speedy entrance of the 24th of August, 2 days past my due date which felt like 10 😂 4.5hr of labour at home unplanned but it all went from 0-100 really quick. And Mummy wasn’t labouring in the car without ripping off the door. Zero pain relief and thankfully 🙌🏻 no stitches needed! 5 days old and mum had her first emotional break down. After hours of cluster feeding and her sucking my tender breast dry. I just didn’t have anything left for her and hit rock bottle feeling like I was failing my baby girl. After a 1230 am phone call to my best friend with a formula fed new born Lila was happy and content with a bottle in her belly and mummy was feeling less like an emotional train wreck.

Words of wisdom from another first time mum who knows nothing 😂 Don’t be afraid or discouraged to ask for help, breastfeeding is hard and don’t let anyone tell you it’s not! If it’s too hard and your baby needs a bottle that’s okay. A fed and happy baby is all you need! Thumbs up from my baby girl Lila you are all doing a great job !
