So I went through my medical records and found the pathology report after the D&C 8/10/19 and it said focal acute chorioamnionitis. When I saw the symptoms, I cried. High fever ✔, excessive sweating ✔, low blood pressure ✔. I had no idea there was something very wrong. Everything was passed off as normal pregnancy symptoms minus the fever for being 16 weeks. The blood cultures came back as gram positive anaerococcus prevotii. Now, the doctors were initially thinking this was just the normal flora, but in conjunction with the pathology report, it doesn't look like it was but rather the root cause of the infection. I also saw and was told I had an incompetent cervix. To add fuel to this fire, I also found out I have heterozygous MTHFR A1298C gene mutation. Like what more could happen to me?! It's been one thing after another and I'm so tired of it. Waiting for the RE appointment to get to the bottom of this. I'm going to end up being hypervigilant if I get pregnant again and who could honestly blame me. I just want to start a family! 😭 sorry, I needed to vent. I'm just frustrated and extremely defeated.
