My boyfriend keeps having nose bleeds and I walked in on one, and the whole toilet bowl was full of blood from his nose. Is this normal?

I’ve been so worried because it just looked like so much blood, and he acted like he did not want me to see. He was trying to clog it up with toilet paper but couldn’t get it in time before it got really heavy.

Is it normal.. no.
That is not normal.
That doesn't necessarily mean it is anything serious, but he should go talk to a doc just in case.
My friend gets pretty bad nose bleeds in winter from the dry air. 
But better safe than sorry.  Suggest he get it checked out.

Not necessarily normal but not necessarily anything to be concerned about. Also keep in mind that it doesn't take much blood to make water look really red. Think about peeing on your period lol. 
It might not have actually been as much blood as it appeared. One random nose bleed isn't anything to get worked up over but he should get it checked out if it happens again.

Worth a trip to the dr to have a CBC done and check blood counts, especially platelets.

This happen to my husband when we lived in a house we later found out had mold. It looked like a murder scene. I’ve never seen so much blood.

My partner used to get blood noses like this until one day he had a heavy blood nose for 4 hours, he ended up vomiting blood not just a bit of blood but just pure blood (those sick bags the hospitals gives you he would in one vomit fill a bag of blood) 
Obviously we went straight to ED where he vomited 2 more bags of blood and they ended up getting the capillaries in his nose burnt to stop the bleeding. He really needed an iron and blood transfusions but his weak ass is scared of needles and refused so they monitored him for the rest of the night and were happy to let him go. He hasn’t had a blood nose since!! 
They said that he just had weak/sensitive capillaries

I was the same way. Finally went to see an ENT and turns out my septum was just super duper skinny and all of my blood vessels in my nose were exposed so anytime there was any kind of change in the air temp, humidity, etc made me gush for 30min at the least. I always joked it was like my nose’s period. He gave me an antibiotic cream (I guess it thickens the septum he said?) bc he said my septum was too skinny to cauterize and that he’d burn a hole right through it. Definitely worth getting checked out, I got mine at the worst times it seemed and It’s such a relief not having to worry about bringing tissues with me everywhere
