Diastasis recti

Jessica • 2016🎀2019👼🏻2019🌈🎀

I’ve been having a really uncomfortable feeling in my abdomen to the right, above my belly button for weeks now. I’d mentioned to my doctor and told him I don’t know what it is. I didn’t think it was a contraction, I wasn’t getting tight. It could have been baby spreading out completely, but I didn’t think that was it. It’s just super uncomfortable!!

I’d mentioned it again to him today and he felt my stomach and said I have diastasis recti or separation of the abdominal muscles. Ok great, a reason!!

But looking online to see symptoms or things to help. There’s nothing!! And all it talks about is most women don’t even know about it until postpartum. No pain nothing.

So my question is, has anyone experienced pain with this? And anything I can do to help it? My doctor said not really, I could try a belly band to support my stomach but other than that nothing....
