Father problems

Little back story me and my father have never really had a good relationship. He always put me off onto my grandparents which are amazing people. He is also a type one diabetic and everyone has waisted their breath over the years trying to get him to take care of himself. Been in and out of the hospital about every other week. Has had a stroke, and always eats and drinks the stuff he is not suppose to have. Now current time basically everything in his body is failing him. He is on dialysis and loosing toe and fingers. My question is he is claiming and trying to make everyone feel bad for him by saying that this stuff isn’t happening caused from his diabetes. He broke his toe and they don’t do much for that well instead of healing it turned black and started causing other toes to turn black. He also started getting random places in his fingers and already had one finger removed. He says none of this is from him not taking care of himself and part of my family believes him but part doesn’t. Is it possible that all this stuff is popping up catching up from those years he never took care of himself.im gonna tmi the pictures I do have.
