Has anyone gone through the process of a hearing and trial?

I was raped last year by my friend’s boyfriend. I reported it and had the rape kit done. In two weeks the preliminary hearing is to be held. I’m so scared to face my rapist and the whole thing is stressing me out. Are these normal feelings? Can anyone give me insight on how everything may go?
