advice needed - might need c section

i’m currently 34 weeks i have GD and my baby is still breeched. i have my next doctor appt in 2 weeks and the doctor said if she’s still breeched by my next appt then he can try to turn her from the outside but if she doesn’t work with us then i will be needing a c section. i will be scheduled a c section at 39 weeks. i’ve never had a c section before. i had my first daughter through via vagina. so if i do need a c section how should i prepare myself and what precautions to take. what’s the healing process like? did y’all have any complications? how long were y’all out of commission for? i’m just trying to prepare myself bc rn it’s looking like i’m going to need a c section!
