Wedding gift question

Not sure where to post so I’ll try here. I’m a bridesmaid in my cousins upcoming wedding. Do you think it’s expected that I give her extra as a gift? It’ll be me, my husband, and our almost 2 year old attending, and I’m just not sure what to do as far as a gift and what’s expected of a bridesmaid. Reason I ask is because we aren’t exactly in the best place financially right now and are driving across the country to attend which is gonna cost more. I guess I just don’t really want to look like a cheap asshole.
