Blocked tear duct! Any info?

My poor little guy had a blocked tear duct and it’s so yellow and goopy! and it makes my heart soooo sad. I wanna cry for him! I feel so bad. We went to the hospital and dr gave us an ointment for it. I hope it clears up soon. Anyone else ever go threw this?

My son has this now. Our doctor gave us no ointments. They said to take a warm wet wash cloth and massage under the eyebrow to around the bottom of the eye. Going by the tear duct of course. They said it can take months to clear up but to do it a few times a day will help. I have started to do this with both eyes to ensure it doesn’t happen to his other eye.

Yup it’s normal just keep it clean with a cotton ball. Some people swear by putting some breast milk on it. You can also massage it look up tear duct massage

Currently going through this, it gets better I promise just keep doing the ointment! And get a warm wash cloth and massage the tear ducts

My son had this.. use a warm washcloth to gently clean the eye and massage the tear duct.. from the corner of the eye straight down the nose and you have to be a little firm while to it! My sons cleared up after about a month or so!

My daughter has this as well. I use warm wash cloth to clean her eye and then the dr told me to massage the space between her eye and nose with my finger for 10 seconds 3 times a day.

My son is 4wks and has clogged tear ducts in both eyes. I feel awful for him because I feel like I’m always in his face and wiping his eyes. But we were told the same as others, wipe with a warm washcloth and massage around eyes. Unfortunately he’s had this issue basically since day one!
