Delaying ovulation?

We started clomid finally in July... now my SO is working out of town. He happens to return the week after my expected ovulation date... I wish it was easier to take clomid whenever and ovulate when you want but obviously that’s not how it works 👎🏻!! So any suggestions? Cycle 1- I had pos opk Cd 19 and confirmed progesterone 54.9- 2nd cycle since he wasn’t going to be home again I decided to not take clomid plus I had hyper ovulation syndrome so gave myself a break this month! Today I’m on cd 19 and got my pos opk a bit shocked as I don’t ovulate normally. But once again he will be home a week late! How can I delay things a week so that our timing works? 🙄😬??
