Disagreement on Santa Claus

Rhiannon

I grew up believing in Santa. I wrote my list, I fed the reindeers food (grown up I believe it was oatmeal), I went to bed early so he didn't pass my home when it said he was close while watching the Santa Tracker on the news. I'd wake up and the most magical thing happened. The cookies my sisters and I baked would be ate and the glass of milk was gone with crumbs in it! It made us happy! We'd rush to my parents room to tell them Santa came! I cherish those Christmas mornings as a child. My husband has a different view.

His family grew up not telling him about Santa because they didn't want to lie to their child

My husband has the same viewpoint and now that we're expecting a child, what should I do?

I don't consider it lying but see it as somewhat like an innocent imagination. I can't describe it but I hope you know what I mean.

I just don't know what to do because I know he won't budge on this but I think it's adorable the joy they get on Christmas morning.
