Wait until delivery for gender?

Okay so with my daughter I opted to NOT find out the gender before delivery and plan to do so again... however, people keep telling me I'm "crazy" for wanting to wait. Now reason #1 and why I did with my daughter was because I knew that if I was having a girl, EVERYONE would get pink EVERYTHING... and I don't like pink. But I know it's hard to find girl stuff that is not pink so I made it to where people had to get me neutral colors. Reason #2 was because if everyone gives me neutral colors, I could re-use everything if I had another baby and it was the opposite gender.

Too damn hard to pick a name to worry about names for both sexes! 😂 That's the main reason we definitely wanted to find out.

I'm not finding out either 🙂 when I tell people that they're always surprised and then there are 2 camps... one saying you're crazy and one saying good for you... as long as you're happy with your decision, sod everyone else 😆

I didn’t find out with my first and loved every minute. Everyone told me the same about being crazy but I had always planned on finding out at birth from a long time ago before even thinking about getting pregnant. The problem is with the other people because they can’t wait, they can’t be surprised, and have to control everything. Sure it’s nice to plan an be prepared with gender specific items however the feeling is 100% different not know then seeing what the baby is at delivery than finding out during the pregnancy. I’m currently 26 weeks and we found out at 20 weeks this time but I didn’t want to know. The only reason was because my bf wanted to know and it was my choice not to know the first time when he wanted to know. I love the fact I know I’m having a girl but the feeling isn’t the same and even though I’m extremely happy and can’t wait for her to arrive the excitement and reactions of everyone else visiting and just me pushing the baby out will be completely different. A part of me regrets finding out only because I know how special it was to me in the delivery room hearing my bf tell me the sex of our baby. Also for the fact that most people don’t wait to find out there aren’t a whole bunch of gender neutral clothes or items which was a little more difficult. But it’s making a slow come back and they’re starting to have a bit more of a gender neutral section than they did 4 years ago when I had my first. To each their own but do not let anyone pressure you into finding out if you don’t want to. It will take that extra joy away!

Someone once told me that you get so little pleasant surprises in life, and not learning the gender of your baby before birth is one of the biggest surprises you can ever have. Before I got pregnant, I really didn't want to know the gender, mostly because I wanted that big surprise! Once I finally got pregnant, I felt like I was having a hard time being excited or bonding with my baby because of my previous miscarriage that I thought learning the gender would help me bond with my babe. I'm honestly not sure if it was that I found out, or just time, but I eventually bonded with him 😊 
The choice is completely up to you! If you decide you don't want to, then don't! And if you change your mind within the other 20ish weeks of your pregnancy you can always find out then! Like another poster said, don't let anyone pressure you!

I found out with my first 2 but I’m keeping it a surprise this time! I think it will make birth extra special and being our last baby I want the best experience I can have 🥰
