Spanking can be done as discipline or as abuse, and there's a great difference! I was spanked and I spank my child. If it's done lightly and doesn't hurt them and there is no other way that helps a parent to make their child behave, spanking helps. You can be a loving parent and spank your child even though many will argue and say it sounds completely insane. My parents love me and I loveeee my little one. When I was little I got all the love a child could get from their parents but when no other discipline method worked I would get lightly spanked and it would help instantly. I would be told that I was loved and it was only do e because I was misbehaving and I did not choose to listen any other way. I knew my parents were not satisfying themselves by spanking me and I knew it's the last thing they wanted to do. Same for me and my child. If there is no control over him, he needs a light spanking. 
Judge me all you want but done correctly it helps a lot and only disciplines.

I grew up being spanked if I did something wrong and I can say I grew up better than most people definitely. I don't have vices. I don't steal. I don't like. I'm not fake and other shiz. I know it works. It's discipline.

I was spanked a couple times when I was little and unlike the other ppl who were spanked and said the turned out fine and it taught them to behave, being spanked messed me up. When I would get spanked I’d do something else that my parents didn’t like to show them it didn’t work. I flinch at wild gestures even if there not towards me at all. I have psychological issues (and no I’m not saying that cause I’m a teen and trying to be edgy) idk know what I have besides anxiety and I just recently started talking to a counselor. I wanted to run a way and almost killed my self when I was only 5. For the ppl who say that it’s “discipline” were probably scared of messing up knowing their parents would spank them or do any other form of punishment. Like i said I would rebel anyway and bc of getting spanked I still don’t know how to behave properly, I only watch what other ppl do and copy them, bc spanking does not work. I repeat SPANKING DOES NOT WORK.

me and my 4 siblings were all spanked and turned out fine. no “emotional” scars. also drank hose water, climbed trees, colored and played with dolls. now everyone’s kids got ipads and voss water.
