Last night I caught my boyfriend with a dating app. Called hify. He says he only downloaded it to get rid of adds on Snapchat and that he just forgot to delete it. What do you guys think of this?

I use snapchat often and the ads you are able to click right past...it’s not like watching a video and an ad popping up where you can’t fast forward... sounds fishy to me... I’ve never had to download an app to get rid of the snapchat ads

Why would downloading an app get rid of adds? Seams fishy to me but I don't use snap chat so idk if that's how it works. Either way if he has nothing to hid on it he wont mind letting you open it up and look around to see if he has been actually using it.

I’ve worked in tech, and with apps. I can say with 100% certainty, especially also having a decade of experience in social media, that there is zero chance that this man is telling the truth. 
For Snapchat to have an option to disable/remove ads they will want to profit from it and have the user either pay a one time fee or a monthly one - usually about $1.99-$4.99 for most apps. 
There’s no way in Hell Snapchat would want people to download an app that could be seen as competition to where it gives another app the email addresses and details of people in their userbase. Emails are GOLDEN. You never want to give that to someone else. 
Additionally, Snapchat has been having issues for about a year or so with retention rates with their users and saw a big dip in people not only using the app but also creating new accounts. This wasn’t helped when one of the Kardashians trashed on Snapchat along with another celebrity/influencer. With the platform not really growing, there’s no way they would risk people using a different app/service. 
So, your man is fucking lying to you. Do not believe it. Get rid of his ass.

Are you sure it's called hify? There's a dating app called Hily. There's also a developer by the name of hify for music and videos. Butttt there's and app called yifi, if this is the app I'd be real concerned. It's allows you to download torrent files or movies aka large movie files that aren't downloaded legally. Imagine what movies you can download illegally.... 
He's lying to you any which way.
