Crib problems

I know this has been posted before (probably by me 😂) but we cannot get our baby to sleep in her crib at night. She naps in there during the day without issue. But when bedtime comes around, she wakes up shortly after putting her in there SCREAMING. It is horrible and breaks my heart. I think she wakes up and doesn’t know where she’s at because she isn’t used to sleeping in there quite yet. I know it will improve with time, but any other tips and tricks would be appreciated. We don’t want to do CIO, thanks!!!
