I had an ultrasound at 7+4 that showed twins. Two separate sacks, so likely di/di. My uterus is extremely tilted, so they had a hard time getting pictures and scheduled me for another ultrasound at 9+4. At 9+3 I had a lot of bleeding. No clots or anything, just really watery bright red blood. I went in to have a scan done and we only saw one of the babies and their sack. Had another scan at 10+6 to verify measurements, but the doc still had a really rough time because of my uterus. I’m sad that I lost one, but happy for my surviving.

I was curious though. Have any of you had a twin vanish just to reappear later? My main concern is that my uterus is so tilted that they didn’t even see the sacks on the first ultrasound initially. It took them a little while before they saw the sacks, and then even longer to locate babies! They never did get measurements that made them happy because of the tilt. I guess I am just holding on to hope that my lost baby is still hiding in there and will be there when they do the next scan in a few weeks. :-(
