How soon is too soon?

Okay so... today is officially the 8th day after the last day my husband and I had sex during my ovulation window. I took a test yesterday and today Because as we all know ‘you can get a positive as early as the 8th day after conception’

I’m so anxious to get a positive result.. Be honest with me! Is it just too soon to get a positive most likely? I know I’m crazy to think I’m definitely not pregnant just because I got a negative today. But we know how it is when you’re really trying.. let me know your thoughts and whether or not I should really wait until the first day of what should be my period to test... is it possible I’m pregnant and just not surging yet???
