Any suggestions?

So i have an irregular period and i have been trying to get pregnant for almost a year and nothing. I haven’t gone for fertility or anything yet i still want to give it some time and try before going into that. But on 8/22 i spotted for two days pinkish brownish but more brownish and took a test a week after and nothing. Yesterday i spotted again the same and my last period was on July 23rd and I’m kind of getting worried cause usually when i spot lightly i get my period and this time i didn’t. Any thoughts?
