Trailer trash
My husband and I live in a trailer. We moved into a trailer because we are saving money to build our dream home.
I’m so embarrassed that we live in a trailer and never invite anyone over other than our parents. It’s been a year, and I want to live in our forever home so badly. I hate the stigma of trailer life and I wish I could just get over it and be happy that we have a roof over our head but shit it is so hard sometimes.
My brother had his wedding a couple months ago ( it was a destination wedding) and I had to tell him we couldn’t go because we couldn’t afford the plane ticket/accommodations.
I couldn’t bring myself to tell him our living situation because my family is really judgmental.
Any words of encouragement are appreciated.

Edit: thanks guys, your words brought tears to my eyes 😭 it’s so frustrating waiting for our home and we are growing impatient. I just need to be thankful for what we have and keep my eye on the prize!
