Ladies with piercings! I need some advice!

So my nose has been pierced for almost 3 years now so it's well healed. The nose ring I have had in for the past couple months has started to turn the skin around my piercing green, I'm assuming because of the cheap metal I wasnt aware it was made of. It comes right off my nose when I clean it. My concern is if that same green from the jewelry is on the inside part of my piercing and I'm wondering if that could hurt me. It's not infected or anything.
