What’s the best vacation you’ve taken?

I’d say my favorite trip I’ve taken in the last 3 years has actually been to Oregon (Portland, Astoria and Lincoln City). Surprising because within that same time, we’ve also been to Europe a few times, New York and Seattle, Vancouver too, and just got back from Maui last week. All places that, on paper, are more exciting and interesting to me than Oregon (which is beautiful)!
It is what you make it, regardless of location. I have the best time when my husband and I are both able to disconnect from work completely, no matter where we are.
Also it depends on whether or not you like doing things. I don’t, but feel obligated to explore if we’re in a new city. If you do like getting out and being active, and like museums, adventures.... etc, then Europe might be better than a beach!
