Ok so I’ve been dating my boyfriend for about 4 months now. We did long distance over the summer (that was tough in itself) but we are very close I can tell him anything. Anyways, all my friends are surprised that he hasn’t said he loves me yet. I am just wanting some input. When did you say that you loved your significant other? I’m getting in my head about it.

Edit: I am also a petty bitch so I don’t wanna say it first. Is it weird if I say it first?

We waited a year but that’s what our timeframe was. Yours could be very different. I’d recommend reading the book “it’s just a f@&$ing date”. Lot of great insight

Him waiting might actually be a good sign. It means that when he does he will truly mean it. Maybe he is also scared to say it. Btw, I said it first to my bf, for him it took a while longer, which bothered me a bit but I rather him say it and mean it than just say it back. Guys can take a while longer to get so romantically attached.
