Who could you trust more with you and your childs life than your father. I may be different tho. I have different circumstances I guess.

I couldn’t imagine having my dad see down there let alone get all up in there like the OBs do 🤢 great OB or not. I’d ask for advice during my pregnancy but that’s about it.

My uncle is an OBGYN /MFM doctor. He's a great source of information for me he and my doctor discuss my pregnancy (per my request). He will be there for delivery but will be in the hallway waiting. Now if I have a csection again (hoping for a TOLAC/VBAC) he will be in the operating room however he will be assisting and my doc will be actually performing the surgery. 
He was there for eldest daughters delivery, and for the emergency C-section of my little one. He really helped calm my husband down when I passed out and started hemorrhaging.

Unless you're having a home delivery off the record, he wouldn't be allowed to anyway. Same principle as doctors not being allowed to operate on their family members. Emotions can cloud judgement.
