Will they induce me if I ask?

I'm 5 days overdue now and things are getting bad. Everyone in my life is leaving soon, my partner only has this week off to help me with the baby, and I have become the most negative awful person I've ever been, toward myself and others. My midwife said she doesnt think I'll need to be induced but if I ask her today to get me induced asap would they do it? Or am I still too early and needs an actual legitimate reason?
