Mattress SIDS relation???

Question

I have just read about mattress giving off gasses and may cause sids. This HORRIFYS me along with everything else im a FTM. My daughter is 4 months old. She has been sleeping in her crib for 2 months.  Now i just read about this and im freaking out. Here is her mattress description claiming that it uses "NON toxic chemicals" she has the sealy mattress. Should I believe this? Does anyone else use a sealy mattress for baby? Its just the mattress and her sheet.

I used to overthink things and check on my baby every few minutes but lets be realistic.. There are moms out there that do nothing to keep their babies safe and their babies still live a long life. 
You are an awesome mom, your baby will be just fine❤️ 
As long as you’re following most safety guidelines, stop searching about SIDS, you’ll only make yourself worry more.

I think you mean the flame retardants found in most furniture sold in the us. I’m sure most of what’s in your home is. Yea they have been found to be cancer causing and possibly contributing to sids but it isn’t for sure and but it’s also hard to find things that aren’t flame retardant here. You have to really search. These chemicals almost flake off with time and collect on the ground for years after being purchased.
