Where do you feel contractions?

I haven’t had any Braxton hicks. Woke up during the night with super heavy period like aches/pains that are coming and going in the yellow area. 
From speaking to my midwife contractions sound like a whole stomach thing, mainly green area but with a touch of red and yellow. 😂
So confused! I’m 39weeks and 4 days!

I’m over analyzing everything too but honestly when it gets bad you’ll know.... contractions for me are like bad menstrual cramps with lower sacrum backache

Girl, same! I’ve only had lighting crotch and period like pains. FTM here and I don’t think I’ve experienced a single contraction, so here I am like...... well I guess I’ll know at some point Lol. 💁🏼

To me they felt like a knife getting shoved up my vag, I’m sorry for the mental image but it really was sooooo unpleasant. 
Couldn’t breathe , I felt like I lost my vision and hearing cause I was just so focused on the pain and everything around me went blank 😩

I only remember feeling them in the yellow area like period cramps. I got an epidural at  5cm dilated and didn’t feel the top of my stomach tightening/harden until I was 10cm. Also, I haven’t ever noticed Braxton Hicks. When I was on the monitor for a NST w my last pregnancy and this one my doc said it was measuring contractions every ten minutes ish but I never get those either.

I thought the same. Mine were only low where your uterus cramps for periods but my stomach would tighten up to the red. Time them and see if their consistent. Mine stated Friday night at 945 pm and she was here by 1011 Saturday morning.
