Does anyone know if morning sickness if genetic?

My mom and my aunt never had any and so far I haven’t really either! I think it could be genetic :)

My grandma had it really bad with all her pregnancies, not sure about my mum. I’m roughly 6 weeks and I’ve had it quite bad too, first time I felt nauseous I was vomiting for hours it was horrible.

I always get hyperemesis and my younger sister never gets even a little morning sickness. My mom, I dont think, had anything like what I experience at all either but had some morning sickness. Between the 3 of us, we have been pregnant 18 times (including my current one) and given birth to 11 children so I dont think it's just variation between pregnancies, there really doesn't seem to be a genetic component in our family.
Some things that do seem to be linked though: we all have low blood pressure in our pregnancies and we all carry our babies out front (cant tell we are pregnant from behind)
