Anyone else using the Taking Cara Babies program?

I am struggling with the S in the SITBACK method... 5 mins of screaming is eating at my heart and waking the entire house 🤦🏼‍♀️ LO doesn’t respond until I get to B, but then as soon as the binky comes out he starts screaming again and starting back at S is daunting. We did 2 rounds last night starting at 3 and by the third time he started crying I did the binky pop. LO never fully settled until I gave in and nursed around 5... Are they supposed to go the full 5 mins if they are screaming?

My daughter doesn’t take any pacifier (besides me) so it’s a complete wash and I just have to nurse her to sleep. There’s no such thing as lying her down awake yet (11 weeks). Frustrating, but it is what it is.

I’m doing it. So... I made my own rules a bit. I started with 30 seconds between each step. Then increased the time. It totally has worked for us though. I rarely get to T. Usually I just put him down and he goes to sleep.

I think the waiting 5-8 minutes is if they’re just fussing. At least that’s how I interpret it. If my daughter is full on crying I usually go in there. We usually always get to the binky stage. And when she wakes throughout the night I just go straight for the binky nd she goes right back to sleep.

Did it say 5 mins to sit and watch?? I don’t remember reading that part Bc 5 mins is a long long time! If baby is crying I jump to hand on chest and rocking to jiggle their head. Then I pop binkie in. There is normally a ton of paci pong but eventually this works and I don’t need to pick her up. But middle of the night let’s be honest I skip it all and go to feed.

Didn’t work for us when we tried that a few weeks ago - typically nurse and rock to sleep. 11 weeks here
