When to start buying

When did everyone start buying stuff for their baby’s? I don’t want to get things to early and then something happen...

Some say it's bad luck to start shopping before the second trimester. That being said. I'm in my first trimester with my second baby and I've already got a few outfits and looking at double strollers. If you dont feel comfortable shopping yet start a wishlist? 😊

Soon as I found out I started to get something every week when I was 14 weeks I bought the car seat & stroller combo because it was on sale for $50 normally was $200 by the time I was about 28 weeks I had everything set the nursery up by 30 weeks

Whenever you want! I personally only bought things early when I saw a great sale, but for everything else I satisfied my shopping needs by just adding things to my registry. The great thing about making a registry list is that you can always change it if you decide you prefer a different brand than the one you originally thought, plus when you’re finally ready to buy things on your registry you can use your completion discount, which is typically between 10%-20% off. By doing that I waited to use my completion discount until after my baby shower was done. For some registries, however, I kept them in “private” mode the whole time, and I used my completion discount a little earlier.

Honestly,  I think whenever you want to shop you can. My husband and I started getting a few outfits here and there while trying to get pregnant and once we were we had the crib and dresser by the 2nd trimester (amazing clearance we couldnt pass up.)
Baby boys room has been ready since may-June and we have 5-6 weeks to go before his arrival.

I was really scared after our first miscarriage and waited till 16 weeks, I was battling wanting to be prepared but also not lose the baby and have no use for anything 😰
