Nerve damage

I’ve posted before about the excessive scar tissue I have from where I was stitched up. I went to a different dr today to get another opinion. This dr was way more honest with me. She said the procedure would be very easy to take off the excess skin. But she said it probably wouldn’t take away the pain I’m feeling. I always get like this shooting pain near the area I got stitches and she said it’s nerve damage and it probably wouldn’t ever go away. I know the tear I had was really bad and I was bleeding so much that I had to have two blood transfusions but the thought of having to just deal with this forever really sucks. Has anyone else had nerve damage from where you tore?
