Had anybody gotten a pup whilst their baby was under a year old?

My daughter is 7 months and a very good baby. My partner works away A LOT, and so he's said I can get a dog for company as I'm always home alone. Does anyone have any experience/advise?

Tbh I am a huge dog lover and animal lover in general so the thought of a puppy made me thrilled. So we got one when my son was 7 months. When I say she pees and poops every ten minutes... I’m dead ass serious. She’s 6 months now and nothing has changed. She learned to go potty outside but she goes every ten minutes so I also trained her to go on puppy pads inside. Well most of the time the pee soaks through, and then my whole apartment smells like poop if she poops. I honestly would never make the same decision. I’m not someone who can abandon an animal but holy shit it’s a ton of extra stress and work. She also whines and yelps when I put her in her crate after having her out all day. 😭 Not to mention she ripped up my carpet and chewed my most expensive heels when I left her alone for literally less than 5 minutes🙃

I have dogs and got a new puppy and even foster for my local shelter and my daughter will be 1 next month and I’ve done this since she was born. For me it wasn’t a big deal and was pretty easy but everyone is different
