Success of sweeps?

Question

Any success stories of sweeps? Just had one today 37 weeks +2 days. Midwife says I'm 2cm and looking favourable but still quite thick. I'm having some cramps but very light nothing that tells me labour is on its way. Just wondered if anyone has any success stories or going though the same thing?  (yes I know it's early but if baby doesn't come naturally by 39 weeks I'm facing induction which id like to avoud so please no lectures)

I had one with both my babies at 38 weeks and they were both born at 38+1 but I was very favorable and my body was clearly ready

If you’re still thick then you’re not favorable. Highly highly unlikely a sweep will work that early when your baby isn’t ready. They don’t work very often even full term.

I could have written this. I had one today at 37+3. Cervix looking favourable( have been having false labour contractions lots throughout the night) I'm booked for induction at 39 weeks too. Let hope these sweeps help us along x
