Are you in love with your little one yet?

Question

Me and my baby’s dad aren’t together but we were talking last night and he jokingly said “we could give her up for adoption” and I said yeah right, I’m already too in love with her. And he goes “in love?? Yeah okay.” 
But I really am? I sometimes get teary eyed just thinking about her. But he made me feel like I was weird or that I couldn’t be in love with someone I haven’t met yet.

It’s a very maternal natural instinct to love your unborn baby. Forget baby’s daddy and his rude thoughts! That kind of love in your heart will make you a great mother.

I love my baby, of course, but I don’t feel as deeply connected as I felt with my son. I’m too busy and tired sometimes to even focus on the pregnancy. I feel so blessed and happy, but it’s also a huge drag on my life. I’m hoping I’ll feel a stronger connection when I found out if the baby is a boy or girl and narrow down a name.

No but, hear me out. 
I thought I was “so in love” with my son when he was in utero, but when he was born and I got to know him, that was a whole new explosion of love like I had never felt before. 
This baby, I feel protective, nurturing, and i feel excited to experience that love again... but what I feel for this baby is nothing compared to my love for my son. It’s just a feeling of caring and kindness.

I’m not, but I don’t have a great relationship with my mom. I also don’t really know my dad that well and had an abusive stepdad so It takes me forever to truly bond with anyone. Plus I was only sick for a week, no bump, and still haven’t felt movement so the only thing that still tells me I’m pregnant is my husband and no period. I really do try to bond though it just work 🤷‍♀️ my husbands parents make me feel like a horrible person for it though so that definitely doesn’t help.
