When to announce

I will be 7 weeks tomorrow! This is my first pregnancy. I’m unsure when we should announce it on social media. I originally thought we should wait until after the 1st trimester but I don’t know if I can wait that long. Thoughts??

I’m 5w3d and my husband and I just told our parents and brothers yesterday 😊 we have a scan on October 4th that’ll be 7w4d (I think?? Lol) but we don’t plan on telling extended family until 12 weeks and announcing on social media until we know the gender. I agree with the comment above that you’ll want a support system god forbid something happens, so maybe just close family, siblings, or a best friend? up to you really, but those are the guidelines I’m following! Hope that helps!

I’m 5 weeks today and we told our parents and siblings immediately.
I have an ultrasound on September 30th and plan on telling the rest of the family then ( I’ll be 6 weeks 4 days I think). 
I’ll make a social media announcement around 8 weeks.

My last pregnancy I announced on social media at 15 weeks, I will probably do it around the same time on this pregnancy, so beginning of December

I only told my husband dad, my sister , and my dad. I think we’re going to announce on social media when I know the gender but I’m going to tell more of my family once I get a ultrasound.

I would tell people now that you would tell if something (heaven forbid, knock on wood) were to happen. I would not tell anyone you would want to keep that from until after 12 weeks. That’s my barometer.

Which makes me want to announce it even sooner. 
So after our first US we will be announcing it.
